Here is a word from the author:

My story is set in the Peruvian Amazon. The characters drink pisco sours on their tour boats before everything goes to hell. Pisco is a high-proof grape brandy and the national spirit of Peru. Pisco sours are tasty, potent cocktails. Here’s my recipe that serves two:

6oz pisco

2 oz lime juice

2 oz simple syrup

1 egg white

Orange bitters

Ice cubes

Shake all ingredients except the bitters and ice for two minutes. Add ice, shake, and strain the foamy liquid into two glasses. Top each with three drops of bitters and draw your own signature design on the surface.
